the hidden evil in bump stock bans

Trump’s Bump Stock Regulations Can Turn 500,000 Gun Owners into Felons   Please contact Pres. Donald Trump and tell him the implementation of his proposed bump stock regulations would turn 500,000 gun owners into immediate felons. You can email him, tweet at him or call him at (202)-456-1111 or (202)-456-1414.    Not a GOA member yet? We need you more than ever right now.   Illegal Bump Stock Regs to go beyond Johnson, Clinton, and Obama in Anti-Gun Reach! Dear TED, When campaigning, Donald Trump said he would respect and honor the Second Amendment.  Instead, he continues to push ahead on bump stock regulations which would turn 500,000 gun owners into felons.  And the regulations would arguably do the same […]

big thieves go for your guns

The usual suspects are at it again. We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office – Aesop The above quotation came to my mind as these jerks toss my life savings around like pocket change, yet would eliminate the basic human right of self-defense if they get their way. The ten thousand dollar suits do nothing to cover their ugliness. The excellent article below describes that those who would have us disarmed have come up with a new way to pull that dream off. As Mr. Greenfield points out, the current crop of disarmers happen to be the same folks who have stolen 98% of the dollar’s value over the last century. That’s the […]

10-meter air in Sandy, UT

If you have never seen 10-meter air, these shooters and equipment are very impressive. The 10-ring (bullseye) is the diameter of a pencil lead. They can hit it consistently from the offhand (standing) position 10 meters away. As rusty, out of practice and ill-equipped as I am, an average of 7.5 points per shot would be exciting. These athletes will be disappointed with anything short of 100 out of every set of 10 shots. The event this week includes offhand, sitting and prone shooting … all at 10-meters. Back when I was a junior rifle coach, we hand-scored paper targets. Electronics has made this sport quite spectator friendly. Cause of death statistics – Hint, guns not in top 10

The statistics below and to the right are occasionally compiled. I carried one such list on a card in my wallet for a decade. The numbers ebb and flow year-to-year, but their position on the causes of death list rarely move much. There are 32,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms. The U.S. population is 324,000,000. Thus: 0.00987% of the population dies from gun related actions each year. -80% are through criminal activity, gang and drug-trade related This is one cost of “our” war on non-prescription drugs. -60% of those deaths are by suicide A similar per-capita rate to non-gun-owning countries. -8% are by police. -3% are accidental discharge deaths. Look at how those deaths distribute across the nation: […]

push to stop staged shootings will start the real shooting

There is a big push going on to disarm the peasants. Staged false flags, hoaxes, highly-organized children marches, media and political figures have masses eager to give up on self defense are becoming a regular part of the media landscape. Many worry that “They are going to take our guns”. That is not what will happen. They are hastening us into an internal war, also-known-as “civil war” between the armed and the unarmed with the politicians and many of their palace guard on the wrong side. Other than the thoughtless sheep, players on both sides know that removing millions of privately owned firearms is not going to happen through protests and legislation. Violent force is the only way. Those […]

What The 2nd Amendment is not

. Though I spend almost no time with mainstream media, my secondary sources keep me abreast of their content. They are currently hammering the ‘gun control’ issue. Victim disarmament is the goal; all means possible the tool. The article below by Jacob Hornberger from Mises Institute is excellent, but has a couple of unfortunate assumptions built in. As much as I like what he expresses, I am using the altered font to I can interject in key places. First off, please remember: the current “conversation” is predicated on an event that very definitely did not happen as the official story depicts. Whether it was a staged false flag or complete hoax is not clear, nor overly relevant. EVEN IF IT […]

disarmers on the march

The NRA leadership became Swamp Creatures decades ago. Rubbing elbows with the sold-out, bloated political prostitutes of the Potomac Swamp instead of inhabiting the America of their constituents clouded their vision. The word “compromise” means each side gives away a little in order to get along. Those who would have us disarmed and defenseless have been compromising with the NRA to take away legal gun ownership detail, by detail, by detail for half my life. An example of compromise would be to give up bump stocks in exchange for select fire. It would cost no more to sell AR-15s that had SAFE-FIRE-BURST-AUTO than the ones that are purchased across the country today. But those who would be our masters do […]

rough week in the media world

. I am having a hard time watching the show this week. I don’t expect it to get better anytime soon. While there is ample evidence bringing the oaf-fishal Florida-school-shooting story into question, lamestream media is hammering it out at deafening volume. That is 100% predictable – completely expected – unsurprising, and in no way disappointing. Investigative journalism died with the consolidation of 128 independent media outlets into 6 Bilderberg-controlled media conglomerates. What IS disgusting me is the overwhelming acceptance of the poorly-assembled oaf-fishal story in social media. Ya’all get a half-point for resisting the anti-self-defense arguments. It is nice to see you folks bringing in Samuel Colt’s Great Equalizer arguments while the puddin-heads call for civil war of the […]

Florida school shooting

The school shooting has multiple agendas, but disarming the populace to make them defenseless against tyrannical government is the main goal. It is time to trot out our antidotes: history, logic and truth. Many of the investigative reporters and publications focus on the accused shooter, his mental instability, psychotropic drugs, that the FBI and local police knew him well as a powder keg awaiting ignition and so forth. I am convinced they are seeing what they are supposed to see, rather than what really happened. I am going to get to that with the video clip down a ways. First I have a couple other, more mainstream points to make. The clip linked to below is often billed as “The […]

school shooting

It is a couple days too early in the news cycle for me to comment much, or link to any serious reporting on the recent school shootings. They are obviously first and foremost an opportunity for those who would have us defenseless to make their anti-personally-owned gun law pitches. I can think of no more dangerous society to live in than one where the ruling elite and their palace guard have a monopoly in arms. What will not happen is a set of laws that creates such a situation. The closest they can hope to get will be a very uncivil civil war between the rulers, their armed subordinates and the people who will die fighting rather than on their […]

scope this out

Rifle scopes have come a long ways from the early telescopes. I had no idea until I saw this video just how far combat optics have come, and what things scope producers have thought to put into their tools. If you are considering a rifle scope to use as defense against human targets, this sure looks like a good choice. It likely is just fine in hunting applications as well. Though some aspects may need rethinking, the fundamental crosshairs at various ranges would still be great.

If Disqualified Gun Buyers Aren’t Dangerous, Maybe They Shouldn’t Be Disqualified

Given the arbitrariness of federal criteria for gun ownership, the public safety benefits of background checks are dubious. from Reason.com     CHINE NOUVELLE/SIPA/Newscom Last year the FBI asked the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to retrieve guns from 4,170 people who were cleared to buy them even though they were disqualified under federal law. USA Today, which reported that number in an “exclusive” last week, sees it as evidence of a broken background check system. But these retrieval referrals also highlight the arbitrariness of the criteria that strip people of their Second Amendment rights. If the FBI cannot complete a background check on a gun buyer within three days, the dealer is allowed to complete the […]
