Two-way radio communications is a tremendous subject that can and does carry people in many directions. For my heading, I purposefully modified NC Scout’s bestselling book title that I am discussing in this post. The Guerrilla’s Guide To The Baofeng Radio goes far beyond the make/model amateur radio he recommends in it. I and a fellow active licensed radio operator (HAM) took a local class from him a few years ago. It was extremely informative and valuable. Disgusted with social media, Andrew Torba quit helping them, quit lucrative employment on their behalf and built GAB.COM, a great competitor that has grown exponentially since its founding in 2016. According to their website, “Founded in 2016, Gab is a social media network that upholds freedom of speech and information.” It is MUCH MORE THAN THAT. Handy, convenient little devices are persistently worming their way into control of the humans who not only volunteer for this, they pay for it. The goal is far worse than most can imagine and incredibly close to fruition. The hive mind of dystopian fiction is on the verge of becoming very real. Most will help the process along. Some won’t. It is far too late in the game to be sharing vaxx warnings with those whose misplaced faith poisoned their systems. I work with Missy, encouraging her to quit talking about it with jabbed relatives and friends. Primarily because they cannot permit themselves to believe her side of the argument, thus just weakening whatever interpersonal bonds may remain between them. Outside of lamestream media propaganda is news of crypto currency founders, directors and operators inexplicable, “coincidentally” dying in the last few months. How do we read this? Russian billionaire Vyacheslav Taran was killed when the helicopter he was traveling in crashed near Monaco. A funny thing happened to me while researching a possible upgrade to my wire-feed welder. I am very happy with the Hobart I bought a few years ago, except when I work with thicker steel … as it turns out, quite a bit of my metal work is with heavier metal. In those cases what is called the “duty cycle” is a problem. For every one minute of welding, my machine needs five or ten minutes to cool down. I found that advances in electronics has reached into wire-feed welder design.
