the new world of electronic fantasyland

I almost used the phrase “Brave New World” in my heading but realized it is very much the opposite. These people are retreating from the real world of nature and complete human interactions into an artificial world they find less threatening. They are exchanging multi-dimensional human interactions with much narrower ones coming through the phone they hold in their hands. A conversation with full-sized humans in a whole world environment are reduced to a tinny speaker on a tiny 2-dimensional screen. They are also escaping from considering ideas and information composed by authors that challenge readers to think. Physical print media spans cultures and generations of real world human experience. Life, death, success, failure and consequences exist in meat-space. In […]

WWIII still on the table

Lest you think I have stopped watching, or The Deep State has stopped considering world wide nuclear armageddon, I thow up the little tidbit below. From quite a number of sources including the POS Vice-POTUS, they are setting up another chemical weapons false flag to provide cover for a heavy USofA military assault on Syria. It is almost over there. The attempt to destroy their government, their infrastructure, their economy and more, is winding down. Syrians are rebuilding their war-torn country. Rufugees are returning. The Bilderbergs lost this round. Russia, China, Iran, Turkey, and others atuned to the globalist agenda shut them down. Of course they do not lose gracefully, or give up EVER. So we have the globalists staging […]

It’ll blow up and we’ll live happily ever after

I have an interesting pair of publications to share with you today. First I will do a bit of scene setting. Austrian school economists describe our current situation as a bubble economy; inflated far beyond healthy. It is a death-spiral bubble that requires continual influx of paper money and constant expansion of the bubble to keep it from a dramatic, destructive deflation. The constant overinflation has us stretched to the breaking point. More significantly, the stretching continues unabated.  The report from Of Two Minds .com by Charles Hugh Smith excerpted below shows the ugliness. There is no amount of lipstick that will make this pig look good. I show you just a bit of his article. Click on the headline […]

the meaning of the automobile

Tom Luongo’s blog article below starts with a scattergun approach, but quickly focuses on what internal combustion autos did for our culture. It is something few of us ever appreciate, but a century of personal liberty is pretty darn significant. Gold Goats ‘n Guns Live – Geniuses of The Left and the Glory of Cars Former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes is most likely going to jail.  She wasn’t Steve Jobs with a vagina, she was a fraud. George Soros is not a “billionaire philanthropist” anymore than Hillary Clinton is the “most qualified person to ever run for President.”  He’s a cross between a virus and a vulture, first indiscriminately killing whole colonies of prey and looting their corpses long after they […]

ode to Valentine One

I road raced toy cars as a rug rat. I pushed brake-less wooden coasters to hilltops and drove them hard through corners on the way down. I was the same with my bicycles. Throughout my motorized years, superior cars or bikes disappear from from my mirrors every time curves are involved. I LOVE the art, science and skillset of driving. From two wheels to eighteen, I have always paid attention to driving machines and environment like nobody else I know. I observe my ten-and-two hold on the steering wheel in maybe one out of a hundred drivers. I see lounge-chair seating positions, one-hand at the bottom of the wheel, double-arm hug, fast food in one hand, driver focused on back […]

storage unit on wheels

The Missus bought a fixer-upper 80s Ford F350 van nose attached to a humongous (for it) 24-foot Leprechaun motor home a year ago. This project is NOT on my list. She finally found a shop to make it functional (plumbing works, but no water heater), but I had not been able to get excited about it. “Just think, Honey, the forest fires come ripping down our canyon, we throw what we can into the Leprechaun and can park in safety somewhere.” …. or whatever Bugout motivator you come up with. Crumb! I am neck-deep in getting this homestead where I want it after a year of working steadily at it. Bugout plans are NOT on my agenda. Besides, where would […]

looming civil war

I include below most of a National Review article on the dry tinder that is our world today. We are quite likely to be a part of and witness to the biggest change humankind has witnessed in thousands of years. Lucky us, eh? Where I disagree with most who cover this beat is in the origins of our troubles. Many blame Israel, the media, half the politicians, the military-industrial-complex, Obama, Clintons, sex-drugs-rock’n’roll or a number of bits. I say all those bits operate according to a script from above. There is a chain of command and our politicians, the media, corporations and so on are several levels from the top. Use that hypothesis and everything else makes sense. – Ted […]

The Great Society

There were many badly chosen, crucial forks in the road that delivered the freest, most innovative society on Earth to the smelly swamp we inhabit today. I often point to LBJ’s Great Society as one of the biggies. Many of us now know that The Deep State took John F Kennedy out, putting their boy Johnson in charge. He quickly undid JFK’s order returning the US Dollar from the criminal Feral Reserve to the US Treasury. He continued serving his masters by escalating the Vietnam War without ever allowing the generals to win it. The Johnson administration moved control of education from local and state to The DC Swamp. A team of Texans thereafter chose the contents of text books […]

rainy day

That’s what I needed. The weather has been too nice. I have been enjoying outdoor productivity instead of my terminal illness … that is sitting in front of my computer terminal railing against The Man. Before the rain moved in I sanded and laid down a third coat of polyeurethene on some wood projects and a second on others. I have a bad track record of cleaning that stuff out of brushes well enough to use them a second time, and spend about as much on mineral spirits to do that job as I do on a new brush. So I batch process my woodworking projects that are destined for a clear finish. That batch is almost dry now and […]

the negotiator under attack

In a rational country, the president negotiating with potential enemies to avert nuclear war disastrous for all parties would be a good thing. Ohmygawsh! Trump is talking with The Russians. Eeeek! The Donald is talking with The Chinese. Egad! POTUS is trying to work an accord with the North Koreans. What we are seeing is a litmus test for sanity in geopolitics. If a news organization or politician would prefer military attacks between our countries to conversation, They Are Nuts. Their evil and/or idiocy are on display. Observe. Take notes. Trust them as far as you can throw them. —– North Korea Accuses Senior Admin Officials Of Undermining Trump Peace Deal North Korea has slammed US officials for trying to […]

hoisting my flag

. . Last autumn I had the evergreens shading our high-value, warming, southern exposure removed – or in three cases, turned into naked support masts for future ham radio antennas. Several people have mentioned my “flag pole(s)” wondering what I am going to fly from it/them and when. That particular idea has been churning around in my subconscious for quite some time. What flag would I like to hoist at the entrance to our homestead? Ideally, it would be the flag I designed and produced representing the phrase, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants“. But I have not run across a custom flagmaker … or been inspired […]

I beat the zero-car-garage plague

There is a peculiar disease running rampant in the USofA. A huge percentage of the two-car garages in this country are so stuffed full of … uh, belongings … that the cars park outside. Hundreds of thousands of HoneyDo lists have “clean up the garage” on them. Of course one answer is the ubiquitous Storage Unit. There are probably one of those for every fifty people in every town from coast to coast. Exceptional people actually park two cars in their two car garage. A couple weeks prior to my first year anniversary of living in the new homestead, I achieved that level of exceptionalism. It feels GREAT! —————————————————————————- That actually came to fruition Sunday. Today I imagined, engineered, fabricated […]
