D.C. raises white flag in fight over 2nd Amendment

While leftists all over the country, from Hollywood to Hillary Clinton, are hyping gun control in the aftermath of the horrific sniper attack on concert-goers in Las Vegas, the District of Columbia is raising the white flag in a court fight over that very issue, apparently hoping to limit what officials there would consider damage from an adverse ruling.

It was a panel of the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia that rejected the district’s requirement that people prove to police they have a “good reason” to want to carry a firearm, and then rejected the district’s insistence that the full court hear the arguments.

An appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court was the next possible step for District of Columbia officials, but they have now said they will not do that, giving up their own law apparently in the hope that there won’t soon be a Supreme Court ruling that could take down other, similar, laws in other parts of the country.

It was Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan M. Gottlieb, whose organization handled the Wrenn v. District of Columbia case, who noted the court ruling simply means wider opportunities for those who feel they may need to defend themselves to be prepared.

He said disallowing the demand in the district for people to convince government authorities of their “good reason” to have access to a weapon “represents one more advancement in our effort to win firearms freedom one lawsuit at a time.”

There’s more to responsible and effective gun ownership than possession – more than a few trips to the local gun range. Once you’ve made the decision to arm yourself, you need “Armed Response: A Comprehensive Guide to Using Firearms for Self-Defense.”

On Thursday, Gottlieb noted, after the district’s announcement it would not appeal: “We believe the city was under intense pressure to take the hit and not appeal the ruling by the U.S. District Court of Appeals. If the district had lost the case before the high court, it would have dealt a fatal blow to similar requirements in California, New Jersey, Maryland and New York, for example, and that prospect had anti-gun politicians in those states quaking in their shoes.”

A FALSE FLAG is an event where the executers work for and under one flag, but create an event under another to frame those of that other group and create violent responses. A hoax is where the event itself was no more real than a typical Hollywood movie. This next one up is about a pure hoax.

Texas Church Shooter Killed Children Who Were Never Born

… so and so has a friend who visits the Sutherland area and ohhhh it was real alright because his friend was an eye witness. Oh so your friend was an eye witness to the shooting or the fake memorials they put up? Did your friend witness any bodies or wounded being evacuated because if he did, he saw more than the press ever saw or anyone else who went there to record it.

You have to drop all pretense of logical thinking to believe an actual shooting took place to state that as fact with no bodies no wounded no cars parked in the parking lot but cops and rescue vehicles….

Also no one went in and cleaned up the blood and body tissue that would have been all over the inside of the church with all those ppl shot by an assault rifle?

They just come in and paint over it with WHITE PAINT……which is straight illegal btw.

The church in Texas has been repainted and is set to be demolished… 26 ppl dead in a crime scene …painted in less than a week…will be hit with the wrecking ball in 2 weeks. But, there was not a crime scene cleanup crew trained in Bloodborn Pathogens on the scene since the shooting. This is a clear VIOLATION of LAW. The place must be cleaned by a crew in protective gear, and the area must be cleaned with a terg-o-cide cleaner. Any reason why they would not do this??

Technically the painters are walking and painting over blood? That is totally against the law.. You and I cannot walk on BLOOD Soaked floors….painter or not… Crime Scene cleaners need to go in first. They never did.. Same thing with Sandy Hook….they never had crime scene cleaners. If someone like that doesn’t show up first, the place is OFF LIMITS to all traffic.

Ammo Is One Of The Best Items That You Can Stockpile For A SHTF Situation: 9 Ammo Storage Tips Every Gun Owner Should Know

If you’re like most preppers, you’re already a stockpiling pro. You’ve got food, supplies, a bugout bag, the perfect weapons, and a great plan. Chances are high that you’ve also begun stockpiling ammunition like a reality TV hoarder. Having a million rounds of ammo is great, but without proper storage those potential projectiles will be nothing more than a heap of brass–or worse, an accident waiting to happen.

Over time, heat, moisture, and corrosion can wreak havoc on an ammunition supply. Cartridges can weaken and break, primers can lose their zing, and bullets can even corrode and lose mass, making them a safety hazard to fire. Avoid all these potential risks by using these 9 tips for storing your ammunition.

Student Gun Control Marcher Wants Ban on Guns Firing ‘An Automatic Disposal of Bullets’

Her initial statement was that she wanted to ban “assault rifles,” a term used interchangeably with “assault weapons” by those marching on Saturday. When asked to describe the “assault rifles” she said, “Though I have, ah, never used one, it’s essentially a gun that ah, ah, ah fires an automatic disposal of bullets, ah, with a single press of the trigger, I would imagine.”

In another portion of the video, GOA executive director Erich Pratt walked up to a protester who was holding a sign that said, “Only fools vote to arm teachers.” He then asked the female protester if she was familiar with any states that have tried to arm teachers, and she said, “Not really. I don’t know the facts about it.”

‘Assault Weapons,’ Explained

How a scary name for an arbitrary group of firearms distorts the gun control debate

by Jacob Sullum

Although “assault weapons” fire no faster than any other semi-automatic, such as a Glock 19 pistol or a Ruger 10/22 hunting rifle, politicians routinely conflate them with machine guns, which have not been legally produced for civilians in the United States since 1986. Prohibitionists like Feinstein argue that “assault weapons” are good for nothing but mass shootings and gang warfare, despite the fact that only a tiny percentage of these guns are ever used to commit crimes. They say these firearms are “weapons of choice” for mass shooters, who are in fact much more likely to use handguns, and claim they are uniquely deadly, even though the category is defined based on features that make little or no difference in the hands of a murderer.

Josh Sugarmann, founder and executive director of the Violence Policy Center, laid out this strategy of misdirection and obfuscation in a 1988 report on “Assault Weapons and Accessories in America.” Sugarmann observed that “the weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun—can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.”

He added that because “few people can envision a practical use for these guns,” the public should be more inclined to support a ban on “assault weapons” than a ban on handguns. While handguns are by far the most common kind of firearm used to commit crimes, they are also the most popular choice for self-defense. Proscribing “assault weapons” therefore sounds more reasonable.
