Since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm, with a lot of .223 and .308 for good measure.
DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).
Some people theorize this is psychological warfare. The State is working to cow us into accepting the loss of our Constitutional Republic. We are supposed to say, “Oh Well. I guess they have overwhelming force. I’ll go to camp, dig ditches or whatever they require of me.” Of course those very people forwarding that theory are of the “It is better to die on your feet fighting for liberty than to live on your knees” mind-set.
Those same people are probably thinking that a wine bottle, half-full of motor oil and half of gasoline, with a rag and cork in the top could take one of those POLICE/RESCUE vehicles out. What, pray tell, is a USA domestic rescue vehicle doing with gun ports, anyway? They clearly aren’t planning on rescuing you and me from any threat we can imagine … other than the attack of a police state.
Well, there is another way to look at all of these fine purchases our tax dollars are making. With guns and ammo in such short supply locally, they are just helping us out in case the need arises for us to defend liberty with small arms. They are hoarding FOR US, not against us. They will [UN]willingly distribute them to us when our local groups feel the need to be armed. If foreigners ever invade, they are [UN]prepared to supply us with the tools of our self-defense/community defense.
We will have to remember to thank them for their prepping. Heck, maybe we can arrange a vacation for them in one of their nifty little camps they have also scattered about the country.
